Maureen Ndih has been re-elected unopposed as President of the Cameroon Association of English-Speaking Journalists (Camasej) Douala Chapter. This follows an election that was organized on July 6, 2025, at the Meeting Hall of the Littoral Federation of Swimming.
Out of the 41 eligible voters validated by the National Executive, 30 were present to cast their ballots, with only one person unable to vote due to identity issues.
Present to supervise the electoral process were two envoys from the Camasej National Bureau, Egbe Frida Nken (Vice National President) and Ambe Macmillan Awa (National Auditor).
Also present were members of the Regional Ethics Committee, spearheaded by veteran journalist Phillippe Soteh, and Barrister Eben Emmanuel.
The complete Camasej Douala Bureau for the next four years is as follows:
– President: Maureen Ndih
– Vice President: Smart Njikang
– Secretary General: Bibiana Manka Shinita
– Assistant Secretary General: Juliette Ajang Mesame
– Financial Secretarh: Emmanuella Winnyfred Emmanuela Nyoki
– Treasurer: Ambo Glad Ndibang
– Public Relations Officer: Fon Rene Marquez
– Assistant Public Relations Officer: Oni Ladonette Ondesa
– Social Secretary 1: Vanessa Nde
– Social Secretary 2: Charles Abumbi
While commissioning the newly elected bureau into office, the National Bureau emissaries enjoined them to work in synergy amongst themselves and especially with the National Bureau. In her acceptance speech, President Maureen Ndih expressed optimism about realizing greater projects with the aid of the entire General Assembly.
