The Yaounde Chapter of the Cameroon Association of English-Speaking Journalists (CAMASEJ) participated in a sports walk on Saturday, April 19, ahead of the upcoming 2025 World Press Freedom Day (WPFD).
The event took place along major streets in Yaounde. It follows a cleanup campaign held on April 12 to promote a healthier environment.
This year’s WPFD theme, “Reporting in the Brave New World: The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Press Freedom and the Media,” underscores the significant influence of AI on journalism and the challenges it poses to press freedom and information exchange.
