A new executive bureau of the Kumba Chapter of the Cameroon Association of English Speaking Journalists (CAMASEJ Kumba) has been voted in.
The executive committee was voted in on Saturday, February 8, 2025 during the chapter’s general assembly meeting.
In a closely contested exercise, Equinoxe Television correspondent Nzaih Bweh was voted in as the new President of CAMASEJ Kumba.
He came out top with 17 votes, just narrowly ahead of his closest challenger Keyna who scored 14 votes. Incumbent Jude Efutercha was a distant third with just five votes.
In his acceptance speech, Nzaih Bweh pledged to federate the media family in Kumba in order to work for the interest of the profession.
He also promised to swing immediately into action in order to ensure the Kumba chapter becomes vibrant.
