CAMASEJ Bamenda Sensitises Against Hate Speech

As part of the #HateFreeHoliday initiative in Bamenda, organized by CAMASEJ Bamenda in partnership with the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism, and supported by the Regional Delegation of Secondary Education for the North West, our team today sensitized over 500 students and teachers at City College of Commerce Bamenda about the dangers of Hate Speech and its impact on peaceful coexistence.

Trained CAMASEJ volunteers provided the school community with a comprehensive briefing on what constitutes Hate Speech and its negative consequences on their learning environment. Through contextual illustrations, the audience gained a clear understanding of this important concept.

This sensitization activity is in prelude to the upcoming Hate Free Holiday contest for journalism club students from 10 selected schools across Mezam Division in the North West Region.
